Week notes 2026-36

We started the week back at my in-laws; my mother-in-law fractured her shoulder and needed support in addition to already needing to support my father-in-law. Unfortunately, because we could not stay with them this week, we had to admit my father-in-law to the hospital; he handled it OK until he was actually IN the hospital. At least it's temporary. We plan on further trips in the next few weeks, eventually making it a full transition when my wife transfers her pregnancy care so we can be there to support her parents in October. This also gives us limited time to prepare our own house for the baby, but I suppose it's one step at a time! Happenings We arranged for a photo shoot to go with a social media announcement. We "officially" shared the news, so now it's out of our control. I'm connected to some co-workers on Facebook so I was curious to know how far around the office the news travelled (as of writing, not far at all—no one has mentioned it to me).
