The Yacht of Seven Sins (1928; 2026) by Paul Rosenhayn (Trans. Richard Vogel)

I must admit I have not tried much in the way of German crime fiction. Previously I have read mysteries by Baldwin Groller, I. J. Parker, and Leonie Swann, so when I was sent a message about a series of reprints/translations (which came out earlier this year via Calebasse) for Paul Rosenhayn (1881-1929) I was intrigued. Calebasse have released some novels and numerous short story collections by this author, and they are available on Amazon in print and digital form. Rosenhayn (1881-1929) died relatively young, during the middle of the Golden Age of Detection, which is perhaps one of the reasons that he has flown a little under the radar now. The Yacht of Seven Sins is a novel which was published at the end of his writing career and is a non-series title.
