All In a Wall

This will be my last workshop--most likely. I'm taking pictures as it comes together because once It's up and closed in the evidence of construction will be mostly hidden. We didn't knock this one together stick-frame fashion as in most times past and for economic self-build speed and reasons. I'm thinking fifty-year lifespan and then another fifty. Maybe the outer cladding will go but not the inner superstructure.The mixer truck hooks up with the pumping truck to deliver concrete to the footing first and later on the slab.The building base is 200 metres to the front of the house we've been building all the furniture for and there is only a narrow entryway on either side of the house so everything has to be moved by mini diggers and such. You cannot believe how much concrete and brick we have taken out to green-up our footprint but we have persevered.We didn't build on pads but poured concrete footings dug down two feet and block-built on top of that to ground level.
