I’ve just released with_model 2.4.0 and pg_search 2.4.0. It’s just a coincidence that they are on the same version number! with_model 2.4.0 Add Test::Unit support, including lifecycle integration for dynamic models and tables. Add with_model/rspec, with_model/minitest, and with_model/test_unit convenience entrypoints. Add runner integration guides for RSpec, Minitest, and Test::Unit. Skip temporary-table teardown when the table has already disappeared. Require Active Record 8.0 or later. pg_search 2.4.0 Drop support for Active Record 7.2 Replace internal SQL-string manipulation with composable Arel operations while preserving all existing use cases That last part (removing SQL string manipulation) has been a very long time coming. I’ve essentially wanted to do that for over a decade. With modern AI agents, and a little help from GitHub’s stacked pull requests, I was finally able to tackle this tedious design problem.
