Guitar Chops 01 0 ▲ ttntm.me - Blog 2 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments A couple of months ago, I got lost in Starfield. I didn’t do much else, and I hardly played my guitar. It’s only been a kind of “secondary hobby” since about 2015, so that’s hardly surprising, and the amount of time spent playing has been fluctuating a lot that whole time. Around that time, a dear old friend (and former band mate) approached me with a suggestion: let’s each pick a riff/phrase/part of a song in turns, work on that for a week or two, then send a video recording to each other. A simple way to get out of one’s comfort zone, explore something one would otherwise not have looked into, and maybe learn something new - I loved that idea! We’re still at it, my motivation to play has significantly increased, and so has my actual time spent playing.
