Re-release this: B.O.B.

B.O.B. is an oddity in Gray Matter’s catalog, for a couple of reasons. For one, it’s an original game, and Gray Matter by and large worked in the world of licensed releases. Between 1990 and the release of B.O.B. in 1993, Ontario’s Gray Matter developed, among other things, Captain Planet and The Planeteers, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Mad Max, Dirty Harry — all on the NES — and James Bond Jr., Wayne’s World, and The Terminator for the SNES. The first game to come out after B.O.B. was NES wrestling game WWF King of the Ring, then The Incredible Crash Dummies and The Ren and Stimpy Show: Veediots! for the SNES once more. Gray Matter worked on The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin for the Sega CD, boxing game Foes of Ali for the 3DO, NHL All-Star Hockey and NBA Action for the Sega Saturn, Super R.B.I. Baseball for the SNES, and The Crow: City of Angels for the Saturn, Playstation, and MS-DOS.Scattered few and far between were original releases, like Infiltrator, Techno Cop,…
