52 Ancestors: Week 35, Johann Nicolaus Philipp and Anna Margaretha (Würtz) Dinges

Orginal post: 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks Johann Nicolaus Philipp Dinges, son of Johann Gerhard and Maria Demuth (Haÿnen) Dinges, was born perhaps in Daimbacherhof say 1711 and died possibly shortly after arriving in Pennsylvania in 1748. He married first in Kriegsfeld 23 October 1736, Anna Margaretha Fellenberger, daughter of Johann Friederich and Anna Barbara (Burger) Fellenberger.1 She was born in Mörsfeld about 1711 and died in Daimbacherhof 24 September 1737.2 He married second in Kriegsfeld 27 May 1738, Anna Margaretha Würtz, daughter of Heinrich Würtz.3 She was born in Gumbsheim say 1712 and died probably in Pennsylvania. Only his brother Conrad's family appears in the Kriegsfeld church records after 1747. Nicolaus is probably the "Nicklas Thinges" who appears amongst the German passengers who arrived in Philadelphia from London on 7 September 1748 aboard the Mary Galley.4 The Dinges siblings would settle near their brother Jacob in Lancaster County (now Lebanon County) who had…
