FF1 Part 2 - Parts Build

This is part 2 about FF1, covering the build. Some of the choices were made before the frame was started, others were made "in situ".Here's how it looked on its first real ride: And folded on the side of the road: Wheels and tires I already had 650b Velo Orange rims from some kind of retro rando/camping bike concept I was thinking about. Ironically, this bike didn't want to be all that retro. I had these rims on my tandem and they're tough and dependable and should make it through TSA without bending. I found a good closeout deal on Vittoria Terreno Drys and I like the skinwall look. They also could be edited to say "RENO DRY" which was apt since I live close by to the biggest little city. For the front hub I had a NOS Shimano XT M730, made from 1987 to 1993. They have grease ports on the seals which is neat. For the rear hub I had two 135mm choices I've been wanting to use.
