📚 Book 19 of 2026 - Finished (8/19): The Things We Never Say by Elizabeth Strout (4/5⭐) I've been really careful about the books I choose to read lately since I'm still not in the right mental space to read anything too heavy. I'm not quite sure how I came upon this book, but I was wary that it might be another one added to my DNF list this year. Thankfully, that was not the case. The Things We Never Say has got to be one of the most melancholic books I've read recently. There was just so much FEELING to it, so much SADNESS. I could feel Artie's sadness through his words. I felt like Artie, always questioning free will and constantly battling with whether or not to bring something up. The book got a bit confusing at times as it jumped through different points in time, but I caught on pretty quickly.
