Day 205: Minimal Monochrome

2026-08-30Hello!When I looked around the internet for street photography, I came across some award-winning images that were monochrome. So I know monochrome can look good, I just don't have the skills to make it shine. I'm hoping that this week of experimenting will help.I'm also going to be following a suggestion from George, who has begun photography and wrote about his experience. Over email, I was issued the challenge to minimize post processing in my photography, which would be a good idea to combine with monochrome. It would force me to pay attention to the world around me, capturing images in black and white, rather than trusting my computer abilities back home.This is the shoreline bordering the Atlantic Ocean, with wooden boundaries. I'm not sure if they're to keep boats from coming in that way, over rocky waters, or to keep people from swimming out, into deeper waters.This used to be a residential location for the US Army, but it has given way to a tourist attraction now.…
