Death of a Hobby

I am sure many of have fallen into the same spiral Elmcat describes in Death of a Hobby. I’m of the opinion that talking about RPGs online is its own hobby, pretty divorced from playing RPGs. I enjoy it a lot, clearly, but it can be quite distracting. I make much more of an effort nowadays not to get sucked into random arguments—though that is likely more to do with being so busy at work and life than true growth as a person.
