Dinosapien – 06 Jul 2010

We’re now in July, and there’s a few more recordings this month than last month. There’s a bit of Iain and Hacker to start with which is always fun. Then it’s the first episode of Dinosapien – Dawn of the Dinosaur. We’ve seen a few episodes from back in 2007, but we didn’t see this one before. It opens with a rockfall in a cliff face, and the emergence of a small dinosaur. Two larger dinosaurs soon follow. There’s a fight, which ends with the larger dinosaurs causing another rockfall that blocks the way back to where they came from. But this is the present, and we meet our heroine Lauren as she tries to do some gymnastics on a makeshift beam, but she’s hurt her ankle and can’t manage. She goes back to the summer camp where she’s working as a counselor. She finds her locket, which has pictures of her and her dad, who, we will learn, is dead, and a major motivation for Lauren to be a moody teenager. She’s greeted by her friend Courtney, who looks enough like Lauren that I will have…
