Ungus Ungus Ungus at Shotkickers

29 August 2026 in Melbourne, supported by Gusto Gusto and Trickbox x Flash Poetry.Bit slow off the mark posting this one!We headed out to Thornbury to see (and meet for the first time) the infamous Eggs playing saxophone with the algebraically inelegant Ungus Ungus Ungus (a.k.a. 3Ungus). I didn't pay much attention to the support bands, which is not like me, but we were right up the back and busy chit-chatting. So I don't have anything to say about them.This was my first visit to Shotkickers and the layout of the place doesn't really work when it's sold out like this show was. The area in front of the bar becomes a bottleneck, especially between bands. It'd be good with fewer people though.Ungus Ungus Ungus were launching their new album The Fun House and clearly have a dedicated fan base. This was another one of those times where I was among a completely different music crowd - the scene is just so vast.I would describe Ungus Ungus Ungus as demented circus music. It is so impressive…
