Week 4: reflections on reading, job-hunting, and the Oregon Fair 0 ▲ Notes from the Burrow 1 hour ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments This week, I decided to keep some notes about what I’ll write about in this post and it will be a bit different than the previous few weeks. First, I read a very good article about going outside, called “Exit the Cave”, my favorite lines were these: Yet the Cave, despite its darkness of solitude and dampness from sweat and suffer-porn, is comfortable. It lets us tinker with our own delusions. If we spend too much time in the Cave, our pupils dilate, and our assumptions start to look like reality. After I read it, it stayed with me during the week and I started to intentionally go outside and just stand around, looking at nothing, appreciating the fading summer days. Then the rain came and the summer felt like it was so long ago. Perspective is everything, I guess. I’ve been watching Ted Lasso and Lanterns this week which has been a good mix of entertainment. I forget which day it was but I put on Border on the TV, it’s a Bollywood film and man does it feel so crazy to watch that now… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse.
