My first thought upon having read RNotte's ashamed of being offline? doesn't really touch on shame at all. Instead, it's a call to go where people genuinely need you most. Sometimes, that's online. Other times, that's offline. Whether surrounded by people or better off alone, there's always a best place for you at any given time. While inhabiting it isn't always possible, you would be surprised how often you can strive toward that moving target within your interpersonal universe.
