The following post is an unstructured ramble in which nothing really happens. The day started with a game of tennis at 1030. We won 7-5, somewhat to my surprise as I was sure we'd lost. To be honest, I don't really keep scores, or how many games we've won, or not. It's not important to me. I just enjoy the game, hitting a sweet ball into the corners, getting my first serve into the right places. If we win, fine, if we don't, also fine. The pair we played were Russians, and we had a nice chat about how life changed in Russia from the mid-90s onwards, and how the changeover from Communism to hyper-Capitalism affected their parents and grandparents. Afterwards, home for lunch with our eldest, and then to her new house to clean out the garden, cut the trees and bushes back, and a general tidy-up. I hate DIY, I can't put up a shelf if my life depended on it, but I'm great at demolishing things. Give me a hammer, a saw, a hedge cutter, or some other implement of destruction and I'm right…
