Dinner and grocery shopping with friends

Over dinner with friends the topic of groceries came up, as it does, and we all realized that we needed to pick up a few things. So after splitting the bill we reconvened at the closest supermarket. It was nearly empty at the late hour and we zipped around aisles sharing product reviews, pointing out good deals, and elevating the experience from chore into something very enjoyable. Mental note: Do more group grocery shopping. Tangent, back in 2003 when I first made a friends section on this website, I included a photo of me and Gretchen in the meat section of Kroger. It was silly, but memorable! I wished we’d grabbed some bacon to re-make that image.
