2026 Week 36 Digest

A stressful week with a new Kindaichi novel, more Traitors, more P5 Tactica, some Fate/GO, and a jigsaw puzzle. This was supposed to be something of a rest week, but it has mostly been spent stressing about jobs. I got a job offer for a test proctoring position with Pearson (as in, the publisher), but didn't like the vibes in the interview. I signed the contract anyway because I didn't have anything else and it would have expired in 48 hours. Then I heard back from a manager of two Canada Post locations that she wanted me to meet the location owner on Saturday, so I'm hoping that leads to me getting an offer from her and I can quit the Pearson job. Meanwhile, Pearson has sent me dozens of emails asking me to work on days I already said I can't work, scheduling me for days of training, scheduling me for actual shifts, getting me to sign up to their HR portal, getting me to sign up for the Pearson online training portal, follow-up emails to make sure I got the first emails...
