This Is Not Fog! 0 ▲ The Wandering Lensman 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments The air is so thick you can cut it with a knife! (Click to enlarge)As the title says, this is not fog. This is extreme humidity yesterday morning (Sept. 3, 2026) coupled with the temperrature at the time–93º F (34º C). The Heat Index was 112º F. The sky was clear blue (take my word for it!). The water is the James River in southeastern Virginia. It is about four miles to the other side of the river but you can’t see the other shoreline. The drawbridge that you can just barely make out is about 3 1/2 miles from where I made the photo, about a 5.6 kilometers. Not a great way to begin the meteorological autumn season! Can't wait for the change in weather pattern we normally see in October and November. Mild, clear days and cool, crisp nights with lots of Mother Nature’s color!Join me over at my website, www.dennismook.com . Thanks for looking. Enjoy! Dennis A.
