Moved my website to Digital Ocean 1 ▲ Laura Michet 1 hour ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments I am extremely bad at hosting my websites, but I have a crap ton of them. They're all S3 buckets on AWS. I understand that this is stupid for someone like me... but around a decade ago I started using AWS to host the online functionality of a weird web game I made, and in the subsequent months I actually set all my websites up alongside it on the same AWS account. This turned out to be foolish. I've regretted it for years - AWS is too much for me and I hate it has no docs written at bozo level for idiots like me. (Digital Ocean, comparatively, has great Bozo Docs.) Since I just finished my Young Suns contract, however, I finally had time to sit down and start moving my sites off it. I started with lauramichet.com, which now has a proper www subdomain and should be less stupid for me to update. I believe I have set up the redirect to blog.lauramichet.com correctly, and I believe that this post will appear properly in the RSS feed readers of everyone who follows this blog.
