[This seems like a whole lot of work for a whole lot of people to provide something not very useful.] Apple and Yahoo are teaming up, with Yahoo Sports providing an alternate telecast for two “Friday Night Baseball” games this month. Well, for a bit of the games, anyway. Baseball Bar-B-Cast hosts Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman will broadcast the first two innings of a pair of games from the “Friday Night Baseball” on Apple TV package…Following the conclusion of the two-inning altcast, Apple TV subscribers can continue watching the full game on Apple TV. That sounds like a pretty ridiculous viewer experience. By their own admission, the goal of this is for Apple is to lead fans to their paid Apple TV service. The Yahoo Sports altcasts will also serve to help educate fans on how to watch Apple TV’s “Friday Night Baseball” and MLS broadcasts. Each stream will feature a direct link to the Apple TV app, where fans can subscribe to watch the main broadcast of the featured altcast matchups…
