Your blog might have a button for readers to like your posts or add a comment. You might be sharing your posts on social media. Maybe your posts go out in a newsletter. Your blog archive keeps growing. Ten posts, twenty-five, a hundred... When skimming through the archives, which posts have received the most interaction? Don’t be surprised if your personal favorites ain’t on that list. That’s usually the case. Does that mean you should try to adapt the content based on likes and shares? No. Is it easy to fall into that trap? Absolutely. If you ever feel that you start falling into that dark hole, start climbing back up as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will get lost. Stay grounded. Write your way. If your favorites are your worst posts, according to the stats, keep doing your worst. Your loyal readers aren't counting likes, but they will thank you for staying true.
