This was pretty exciting. Since the main floor was stacked, and even after it was poured, the windows and doors had bracing inside them. It wasn't possible to get a real sense of what the view might look like when the house is completed. Brad took down all the bracing yesterday, but I hadn't gone up there until this morning. When I came up the stairs, the view kind of took my breath away. I really had no appreciation for how large those windows would be. I ended up chatting with Brad for a long time, then went back down to the house we're living in, never taking a photograph! So I went back up a few minutes ago, just to get this shot. It worked out better, because it was pretty overcast earlier this morning while I was there. The deck in the photograph is there to facilitate stacking and bracing the ICF block for the gable end, it won't be there when the house is completed. And the view will include a 12' deck with a 15' overhead roof, so it won't be quite so expansive. We won't get a…
