This Time

This summer has been the most challenging of my career so far. When I became Vice-Chancellor, President and Khan of Khans of Ex University, I knew that I would need all my leadership skills and renowned personal empathy to guide the institution through the uncertain waters of Earth 2 higher education, but I must admit I was not prepared for how much you lot would whinge about a bit of necessary blood-letting. Some very hurtful things have been said about the competence and honesty of my team. Nevertheless, it is with great personal satisfaction, smugness and self-congratulation that I can announce that you all got lucky. This time. Obviously some departments had more people able and willing to jump than others. I hope for their sake that this group overlaps extensively with the malcontents who have been active on social media in recent months.
