Making The Best Out of a Bad Situation

I finally can afford to bring my family for a short trip to overseas. Money is still tight, so I picked a budget airline with a short layover. Unfortunately, our first leg of the flight got delayed and we missed the connecting flight. The airline compensated us with a later flight but everyone mood was spoiled. During the long-extended layover, the whole family shared a Burger King meal. We compared the food quality and talked about life in general. My eldest son took the opportunity to do plane spotting and film some footage for his YouTube channel. Everyone is still disappointed by the delay but there is nothing more that we can do. We can only make the best out of a bad situation. I am just proud that no one in the family complained and had practised restrained. I hope I can afford a better airline and budget for future family holiday.
