End of Blaugust 2026

A look back at the Blaugust that was. This Blaugust wrap up post being delayed to the second of September is probably emblematic of how Blaugust 2026 went in general. On work days I simply don't have the time or energy to type anything, on non-work days I need to catch up on so many chores and other things it's hard to justify spending productive brain time on blogging. If I don't do laundry there is going to be a tangible problem, but if I don't write a blog post nobody is really going to notice. If I write a low-effort, short blog post I feel bad about padding the numbers, but if I write one half of a decent post it never gets finished or posted. However I came into this month expecting this, and this is why I generally do not participate in or enjoy scheduled, time-limited events. I wrote a blog post about this last Blaugust!
