pretty fly

26-08-26 I had been thinking about Cammo. Not the usual nuthatch fest or even jays but the two rows of flowers that appear every year in the walled garden for pollinators. Rudbeckias and asters I think. They are a visual delight and I presume are there for the benefit of the honey bees whose hives are over in one corner of the walled garden. Last year I had a jolly time there photographing mostly admirals, a comma and painted ladies on these flowers. I relished the prospect of visiting somewhere other than Saltoun. I also took some birdfood, just in case.target flowersThings did not start well on the 26th. The weather looked to be overcast to such a degree that I did not leap out of bed and hurry anywhere. In fact I probably dicked about on blog reports and tweaking photos until the sun appeared early afternoon and only then shouldered my backpack.
