There is a neuroscience novel, called Radiant Cool, by neuroscientist professor Dan Lloyd, on MIT Press (https://mitpress.mit.edu/9780262621939/radiant-cool/) with a punning sub title by MIT: a novel theory of consciousness. I read it some years back, it’s stashed away somewhere now.For info on Dan Lloyd, seehttps://constructivist.info/authors/dan-lloyd Set in the Cold War, and the novel’s characters posit a situation/circumstance where an enemy power systematically replaces all scientific sites and works on the internet, with almost exact copies but where the information, research etc are all slightly skewed, and the real work comes only to them . The effect would be that the enemy power would then be the only ones, apart from the scientists putting the work out, who had the real goods to work on, and so be world leaders. Going off the paranoid reasoning of the argument, they would then hold the world to ransom. What is not taken into consideration here is that this enemy power, ok…
