The Orangutan

The locals say that a Man lives deep in the forest, unlike any of the village. He does not seem to speak the languages of other men, he is covered in thick reddish fur, his arms are long like snakes. He is not malicious, but he protects the forest he calls home. Those who respect the forest may earn his friendship, whose who would threaten it, his wrath. He likes gifts of fruits, the fresher and riper the better. He has even been known to imbibe the fermented juices with great pleasure. They say he is strong as an elephant, and agile as gibbon. He is a trickster, who enjoy playing pranks on those who would enter his domain, and a clever trick without ill intent may impress him. He knows all the beasts and plants of the forest, and their properties. For a friend, he will procure herbs of healing, and may teach the techniques for preparing balms.
