Terms and Exclusions May Apply

I just found out that I'm ineligible for the Medicare Bridge program for GLP-1 medications. Because I'm a military retiree covered under TRICARE For Life for my prescription drug coverage, and so I don't have Medicare Part D coverage. TRICARE For Life doesn't cover GLP-1 medications for anything but Type-2 diabetes. It seems interesting that the people who came up with the Bridge program didn't anticipate that military retirees would be ineligible. I'm looking at paying cash directly to Eli Lilly, but I've made one pass through their enrollment website and I've already encountered a roadblock related to being a military retiree. I do have insurance under a "government" program; but I don't have a prescription drug coverage card with these three numbers they want me to enter on the website to enroll in their program.
