We all groan at that name / phrase / assistant / whatever you want to call it. "Siri sucks" is a common phrase 'round these parts with my wife and kids. It's a common phrase with friends and even more common on the internet. In a world where Siri has been in our iPhone since the iPhone 4s in 2011, we've dealt with its humongous shortcomings. But it's 2026 and finally we get a Siri that is markedly improved. And not incrementally either. Siri has truly hit the gym... albeit two years later than anticipated. Later this month Apple will release iOS 27 and with it, "Siri A.I.". This is a Siri that does what we thought it was going to do in 2024: answer questions without telling you "here's some search results I found" and finally give the promised answer to the demonstrated question of "When is my mom's flight landing?" I've been using the beta version of iOS 27 for nearly two months and I can say with 100% confidence that this is the year Siri will really be a game-changer. And… No comments yet.
