I have been moved and changed by his works of poetry, fiction, and essays. One of my favorite poems by him is "How to Be a Poet." I committed this poem to memory sometime last year, and it always rewards reflection and meditation. Need to refresh myself on this to keep it alive in my mind and heart. I'm so thankful for who Berry was and for what he leaves behind. My friend Joe Chambers introduced me to the Berry's book Jayber Crow which has also become a favorite story of mine. Here's Joe reading Berry's poem "The Peace of Wild Things" (in his warm, rich voice) in Berry's honor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eQSB0SSJEo No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse.
