Actually a little late, as these were picked up from the second-hand place on last week’s doss-off day. Foucault‘s History of Sexuality Volume 1 because when you see a book of that repute for the equivalent of a couple of Euro, you might as well add it to the stash on the off-chance you’ll decide to read it one day. Gould‘s Leonardo’s Mountain of Clams and the Diet of Worms because I’ve been wanting to read some Gould for a while, but he’s somewhat out of fashion and therefore not cheap to acquire. Plus who could resist a title like that? And John Crowley‘s Endless Things because, as someone (maybe Henry Farrell? ETA: yes, it was Henry Farrell) said in their appreciation of the recently deceased Crowley’s oeuvre, he’s also very hard to find in print affordably, so when you see a book by him for sale, you buy it, whether to read it yourself or gift it to someone else.
