What I Love

What I like the most about my craft is the days are laden full with work I want to do. I have put in more days than probably, possibly all of you and I still go willingly to work to make something I've designed, picked out my rough-sawn wood for and do not use a machine or a machine process to make with. Imagine, sixty-one years of six-day weeks making every day from wood. I carry this DNA of designing, engineering and making inside me. It's inside you too, most definitely. It's got a name. Identifying it is essential. Its name is 'calling'.Our humanity is designed to make in the sense that the word design comes from the word designate. Break it down more, and you will find in there the word de= out or from + sign= derived from. Look too to author as in designing something we wrote into being by design.
