What Blaugust Has Taught Me About My Blogging 0 ▲ Sebastian Malloy 34 minutes ago · Life · hide · 0 comments So here we are, at the end of August, and the end of Blaugust as well, and so as not to bury the lede: I have learned from participating this year that I really am not designed to crank out a daily post unless I have something I want to say. Look, I’ve done 30 of 31 posts this month, and most of those I feel are just there because of the self-imposed pressure to participate. Too many of them were of the “crap, it’s bedtime and I’m ready to sleep but I forgot to do my post so here’s a list of things I ate today” variety. Bzzt. I did post a few that I was pleased with, but those are ones I would have done anyway, Blaugust notwithstanding. I also posted a few images instead of text, which I would have done as well, so it’s not all just wasted data on my cell plan. Having said that, I really did enjoy everyone else’s posts, so Blaugust does have something going for it. For me though, I don’t think I’ll be participating next year on this one.
