August felt like such a whirlwind. Even though I’m unemployed and my Mum likes to ask me “What do you do all day, aren’t you bored?” it’s honestly really surprising how busy I feel. A lot of this might be self-inflicted busyness where I don’t really need to be writing as many blog posts as I do, but I can’t help myself! Do I have a blogging problem? As much as I had said I was feeling socially deprived lately, I had an old friend pop in from Australia, some of my husband’s friends visited, I met some new people for coffee dates, and so August turned out to be quite the busy month social-wise as well. To cap off August, we went on a 12-day roadtrip around Hokkaido. I had grand plans of being in nature and camping the whole way, but it turned out to be quite rainy so we also made an impromptu detour to Hakodate.
