A successful mistake

When the Swedish comedian duo Stefan and Krister started gigging together, it was as musicians, playing mostly covers at small clubs and events. One night when they kicked off the first song, the guitar was out of tune. It sounded terrible and they started blaming each other on stage, while the audience was laughing at the situation. After the show, a man came up and said he loved the gig. He wanted to book them, and added: “Please do more of the opening act, it was hilarious.” Everyone had thought the untuned guitar accident was part of the show. The misstep was a step forward, and they went on to become one of the most well-known comedians in Sweden. Sometimes the wrong note is how you find your own kind of music.
