writing and reading on the small web

I love it here on the small web. The simplicity and minimalist nature keeps me focused on creating and frees me from the cumbersome clutter found on large sites and blogs. Because of the nature of the small web, people (including me) have the latitude to write about what they want, without concern for likes or follows. When I write in this space, I don't feel the need to remain in a proverbial "topic box." Yesterday I wrote about sharing a doughnut with my dogs. Who cares? Maybe no one, but it didn't keep me from writing about it. I find reading on the small web fascinating. When people aren't writing to promote themselves, or products, you are able to see a glimpse of who they really are. What they enjoy. Their passions and interests.
