Blogging goals achieved, kinda

This is my 16th and final blog post for the Blaugust 2026 community blogging project. Thanks for coming along. I had four goals for participating in the Blaugust community blogging project. I achieved two of them, missed one, and the jury is still out on the fourth. The first goal – and the least important goal – was to make 15 blog posts this month. That’s the number that would achieve Silver level status. (Gold level was 25 posts and Rainbow Diamond was 31 or more.) Like a good software engineer, I took a “divide and conquer” approach to this. I aimed for four posts a week – Monday through Thursday – with a grace day the week I returned from my trip to Ashland. I topped that goal with the post you are reading now – my 16th post of the month. I did take the grace Monday the week of my return, but did a bonus post that Friday – which turned out to be my most popular post of the month.
