ups and downs of august

UPS ₊✩‧₊˚౨We got a good bit of the house painted. It was a sudden thing, like many of my mother's ideas. She's the type of person who, once she gets an idea into her head, it needs to be done yesterday. Didn't like how messy it made the place initially but it's all nice and clean now. I got to see some relatives for the first time in a long while. It is unfortunate that they're English (this is a joke, because we're Irish) but they solidified the opinion that they're good people. I made a joke about how I'm not legally allowed to use specific bathrooms anymore (our Equality Commission doesn't have a solid answer yet) and they all said it was some bullshit nonsense, which was nice. I read eight books in August. Well, short little novellas, but they still count. DOWNS ₊✩‧₊˚౨I didn't do as much physical journaling as I would have liked. It was fully my bad for picking red as the colour of the month and also doing bad weekly layouts. Thankfully my September ones are gonna turn out nicer.…
