Blaugust 2026 Recap: Summary From a First Time Participant

Blaugust 2026 OverviewBlaugust has motivated me to post the most on any given month of the year (see the trends on the calendar heatmap or monthly spread). But I probably bit off more than I could chew when I announced that I would also join the Community Builder award as a Blaugust first-timer; because in the end, I only managed two of the Community Builder tasks (need a minimum of three to get the award). 😞 PositivesIn terms of how this blogging challenge changed me as a blogger, I think the net result was positive. It gave me a reason to capture fleeting moments, put the experience into words, and publish it quickly; instead of drafting notes that might never be shared. Then there’s the community aspect of Blaugust which was very inspirational to me. I loved reading posts by other blaug-ers who increased their output for this event, no matter if it was part of the suggested themes/prompts or not. NegativesThere have been some negatives though.
