OpenAI Runs Out of Space Names, Announces New Earth-Based Naming Convention

After exhausting all recognizable celestial bodies for its frontier AI releases, OpenAI announced its newest architecture roadmap today. The models will be named Dirt, Seed, Sprout, and Tree.Head of Product Manny Parameters explained that after Luna, Terra, Sol, and Astra, internal focus groups revealed that the general public no longer understood niche astronomical terminology so something had to be done to reach a broader audience.“We realized we had hit a wall with cosmic naming,” Parameters said during the keynote address. “Once you get past the moon and the sun, people start getting confused.
