We were walking back from grabbing a couple of beers together. It had been my suggestion, after reflecting that the friend group hadn't been hanging out as much as we could've. For a meal, I stopped worrying about calories, and savored the cold pint. We talked, but not about a lot. We talked about a whole load of things, but I can't remember. I enjoyed my beer (my first in weeks) and picked at my salad. I talked about work; I talked about friends. We tried halfheartedly at gossiping, but realized we couldn't chat about anyone all 5 of us knew. After the conversation had run its' course, we picked up our bags, and left the bar. We were all going the same way, so we walked out the same exit. The sun was setting, on a bed of high clouds. The sky was flushed pink and blue and orange, and we all took a moment to take pictures.
