I did a fair amount of research and waffling to not ultimately order a Megalodon Triple Knob Macro Pad, only to find myself with a smaller and simpler Ulanzi D100H. I wanted something on my desk for quick media control and dedicated buttons for routine actions. I specifically did not want to add more screens or flashing lights. A stepless metal knob would be ideal; I don’t have a lot of knobs in my life but I’m learning that I like smooth rotation and not the subtle clicks of rotary encoders with physical steps. The D100H was a gamble. There were a handful of YouTube reviews that seemed suspiciously over-excited about it that I could only assume were paid or promotional. These are my thoughts two weeks in. What I Like It’s sits handsomely on my desk, small enough that it doesn’t get in the way of anything, and it’s just heavy enough that it mostly stays put when I’m pushing buttons or turning the wheel.
