Weeknotes 2026-08-30

August is almost over, and I haven't gotten done most of the things I wanted to get done for the month. Heck, 2026 is almost 2/3rds done and I haven't done most of the things I wanted to get done for the year. The World RIP: Hayden Panattiere, Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, Peter Cullen. Felt like a miserable couple of weeks really. My Week I continue to be annoyed that time exists and prevents me from doing all the things I want to do. The first few days of the week had good weather, but starting around Wednesday we got slammed with rains again, and Friday and Saturday were bad enough that I limited my walks. Google Fit says I walked 63,173 steps from last Sunday to yesterday, so I missed 70k again. It's times like these that I'm glad I'm no longer a regular commuter, especially when I see the videos of flooded Metro Manila streets in various places.
