Mythical Type Updates | August 2026

Apparently I watched a lot of movies in the last month, and that’s all I have to say about that. 📬 In this issue: Zines Media fare Zines I started writing a short story for the next issue of Planetesimal. I’m still working through my stash of zines to read. I added a few in August. Media fare TV Lanterns (streaming on HBO Max). Really good so far. I’m excited to have a live-action Green Lantern show, and I like the detective style they’re doing. The Great British Baking Show (streaming on Netflix). This is an easy-going show to watch. I am seasons behind, and that’s okay. Movies I watched The Fantastic Four: First Steps (3/5 stars) and Captain America: Brave New World (3/5 stars) because these were the remaining Marvel movies I hadn’t seen that are relevant to Doomsday. And now I’m caught up. The Devil Wears Prada 2 (3/5 stars). It’s just okay. Wicked For Good (4/5 stars). Good but I think Wicked is better. Spider-Man: Brand New Day (4/5 stars). Read my review.
