Yes this is a memoir, so it's intent is for the writer to focus on their memories of their life, but this often felt like Will Smith just bragging about the "Big Willie Show", as he calls a number of events in his life. Late in the book his wife Jada gets upset at her birthday saying that it really wasn't a celebration of her, it was about Will's ego and the big things he could do. That's what the book felt like, Will sharing his ego talking about all the big things he's done (but he's careful to say a few times he's not bragging just telling you how much his movies made). It ends with what we see in many stories today, a revelation about spirituality brought on by ayahuasca and a shaman. Under this influence he realizes how beautiful he is without any need to show his worth, and all his problems are seemingly solved. Oh, but don't forget the end chapter which is actually about some big bungie jump over the Grand Canyon from a helicopter, so really we're back on the "Big Willie Show".…
