Sunday Asides #110 Our long national nightmare is over, y'all — I accepted a job offer on Thursday. Blog post comin' soon about that but come October, I'll be full-time employed yet again. On a sad note, though, Dolly Parton and Tim Curry both passed away this week. Both of them had a tremendous impact in the entertainment industry, but also made unforgettable impressions in terms of pop culture and more. Both of them were truly one of one. Huge losses overall. None of this year's Hobonichi offerings are really moving me. There's been this trend in recent years where the new annual covers and books are just too twee and cutesy and juvenile for me. And with tariffs on imported goods as they are, everything's more expensive anyway. On a whim, I bought one of those retro handheld emulator consoles that have like 20,000 games pre-loaded on it from NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, etc. I played it once, turned it off, then when I went to turn it on the next day it gave me some configuration error…
