For people who know me, the connection is easy to make. After sharing a story on Instagram, a lot of friends jokingly asked where the sickle was. But even those who don’t know my political views immediately asked if I’m a communist. I feel like this one will be the piece that reflects me the most in clay. Working on this thing also made me realize the progress I’ve made this year. My tutor helped me build the armature for the sculpture but then he was absent from the studio. Which means I worked on this with absolutely zero guidance from him and I’m proud of what I accomplished after ~10 hours of working on this myself.
