I’d planned for today to be a computer-based writing day, given the rain forecast, but when I sat down to do some computer-based writing nothing was happening. Wrote a couple of sentences, deleted them, and figured a break outside might help. And then I spent the whole day in the garden, in the rain, doing garden stuff. Turns out doing the prep work yesterday meant actually installing the water butts was a really simple job. I’m quite liking this new system of taking so much time over tasks (in order to avoid triggering a fatigue crash) that I think them through to a degree I’ve never been able to before. Sure, in the past I could have done the whole thing in a couple of hours but I would have fucked something up. So we now have two water butts hidden between the rabbit run and the fence, ready to receive rainwater once we sort the roof out, and tomorrow, if I’m up to it, I can install the third, connect them all up and start filling them with the buckets of water I’ve been harvesting…
